Stake your claim
Go to your listing and select "Claim", or visit /claim/<listing> directly. You'll need to prove you control the company's domain. Pick one of these verification methods:
- Email to an address on your domain (we'll send you a link to click)
- DNS TXT record on the root domain
- Meta tag on your homepage
- Verification file on your website
Each method takes a few minutes. If your verification code expires before you finish, start the process again—codes last 14 days.
What ownership means
Once verified, you become the listing owner. You can edit the details, update images, and respond to audience activity. The Verified badge appears on your listing to show you control the domain.
The badge is permanent and separate from paid placement (Featured or Sponsored listings) and community votes. It simply confirms domain ownership—nothing more.
Questions people ask
- Can I claim a listing for someone else's company?
- No. You must control the company's domain to claim the listing. Verification proves this.
- What if my verification code expires?
- Start the claim process again. Codes are valid for 14 days.
- Does the Verified badge affect my listing's position?
- No. Verification is separate from paid placement and votes. Your position depends on votes and any Featured or Sponsored status you've purchased.
